How does Xbox 360 Live affect the internet speed and bill?

I was wondering if Xbox 360 Live affects the internet speed or the internet bill. I know that live is $5.00 a month and You Need high-speed internet, I want to know if live makes the computer run slower or the internet bill go higher.

it wont affect the bill at all. it wont affect the computer speed at all either. it xbl uses your internet to connect to a server on the game u r playing. the reason for some laggy games is because everyone cant connect to each other in the server.
